Since verizon is bringing up fios they are disabling dsl lines around here, stripping the old cables and replacing them with the upgraded "fiber optic" lol
Much better than dsl.. much much better!

i dont know maybe ny is different here they give you a option..... they didnt disable anything. you can still get dsl as long as you have your copper line.

Now Comcast is going "fiber optic" in my neck of the woods.
I just got a notice yesterday that the old cable was going to be replaced with new fiber optics soon....
