I have RCS and tiger shrimp in a 29 gal community tank. I started with about 30 so I didn't worry about their impact on bioload. But now they've bred to 300+ (just a guess). Is there a number where I would need to consider the shrimp and is their an equivalent like 50 shrimp = 1 fish? I'd like to add some more fish but I'm not sure If I should.

in my experience shrimp have no bioload. they eat food that would of normally rotted ad the bottom and therefore produce no more ammonia than what that food would of. i have almost exactly the same setup as you, mines a 20 gallon tall with RCS and blue tiger shrimp, i have over 500 shrimp between the two species. then i have all my endlers, about 50 of them. i just do a 50-60% wc each week and I'm fine. hope this helps.
