Just curious what methods everyone here uses to dissolve the CO2. I put the line from my regulator right into my intake for the Filstar XP3 and let the filter chop it up and send it back to the tank.

diffuser or reactor.

i use both

DIY reactor made from 18" gravel cleaner tube and maxi-jet 600..... 100% dis-solution !!!!

Diffuser next to output of magnum filter.

I use one of those long air stones.. yes the little air stones don't work at all, but the long ones make these 2 tiny steams of bubbles that all disappear before they reach the top of my 20H, this is a DIY co2 setup and only temporary til the pressurized system gets here, but for $1.82 at walmart.. it's pretty darn good =)

i use a maxijet 1200, bubbles go directly in and it chops em up seems to work. Also I have injected bubbles directly into my xp3 and its worked really well. In fact the bubbles through the xp3 worked the best out of anything even beats the glass diffuser.

This is what I do/rating

Inline reactor: best absolute diffusion all the time

CO2 running into intake of Ehem Pro II: Pretty good, has a hick-up about once an hour

Ceramic diffuser: works, wastes a lot of co2. I'm replacing this with an inline reactor as soon as I have the time to splice it in.
