it is dangerous to go the speed limit on the Stevenson (55 for you non-Chicagoans), because its pretty much a straightaway to Chicago, basicly the Illinois Autobahn. people easily go 90, and if you are going 55, you're going to get rear ended.

I live and drive, most frequently, in Massachusetts. Speed limits are just suggestions and using your blinkers is equivalent to giving tips to the enemy.
I do try to chill out a bit when I leave the state but I'm pretty sure I've still been called a M******* more than once. It's hard to turn off, lol.

So true, But I much rather drive the 55 over 90/94. And now days 57 is crazy too. I live off of the Ashland exit of 55 on the southside of the city. And origianlly from Peoria (so its my way out of town often), so I'm on 55 several times a day. Besides the 294 interchange and a few spots farther south, where there are speed traps, 90-100mph easy. Lake Shore Drive is usually 55-70mph. But once on the city streets I try to keep it under 45mph.
But I don't drive like that when others are in the car, using my cell, or blasting the radio. And I only tailgate in the left (get over, really is it that hard? How do you know I'm not going to see my mom on her deathbed?)
