How do you keep your oscars?

Nice Oscars everyone. Love those shots you took of yours Rachel looks awesome. Ive owned several O's in the past now I only own 1 which is ready for a upgrade like all my other fish. I bought mine from my Job was the nicest one Ive seen in there. Nothing special as youll see in these pics. He resides in a 22gal tub at the moment is about 5-6" so only a third of his potential size.

So do I. I was told his patters would change and they were right but hope it doesnt change to much more. Kinda liking his current pattern.

Nice Oscar Gev. It will be interesting to see if he holds those colors into adulthood.

GEV, he'll most likely even out to an overall orange colour. that's what happened to my Gus and he had a lot more black in his pattern as a juvie.

Dam GEV that coloration looks awesome i wish he would hold onto that pattern would be a sweet O when older..

dont' you have some more recent pics of him in your fish thread? i'll post a couple of mine when i get home from work tonight.

Nope those are my most recent pics which are also in my thread Jbar.

BFM I hope my oscar doesnt turn like yours. Not that yours dont look nice cuz Gus is a nice looking O but I like my marblish pattering on my O. Also his color has gotten lighter then when I originally had it which may be due to him getting actual sunlight rather then artificial light. He lives in that tub still and well its near my window which gets alot of light. He tends to swim out into the light alot and so do the pleco's in there as well. Oh also BFM look at his pattern when I first got it and in the last pics it has more patterns not less. =-P

67Chevelle im as stated hoping it does but only time will tell. Seen one O that has some awesome patterns as an adult at my sisters old LFS sadly it had some major HITH issues. It looked like it was bout 12-13". I felt so bad for it and wanted to buy it but no money no space and wont allow myself to buy a sickly fish.

Pittbull I know it would be a sweet O if it kept those patterns as an adult. LOL To bad more O's dont look like that but then again mine would be that special if they all did.

My Reagan is six years old and lives alone in his 75 filled with toys that range from old food containers to those decorative live plant things they sell at Petco.
