I always get tiny particles of crap sticking to my plants, sometime to the point to where I just throw the plant away because the stuff that sticks to the plant eventually turns into algae.. Some of my plants stay perfectly clean all the time, some always get covered in this stuff?

Anyone have this problem?

If not, what equipment do you have in your tank to solve this issue..

I thought about getting a Power Sweep power head to flow some water around, but I really hate equipment in my tank...

I would have had double the plants in my tank now if it wasn't for this.

A powerful filter is all you need IME. Plus I wave the gravel vac in front of the plants every time I do a WC, especially around the java mosss, it keeps it very clean. You can try adding more flow and see how it goes.

I try to keep a good filter and good water flow. Plus, my fw tanks all have some sort of algae eater in them. I find cherry shrimp will groom anything. Plus they're really cool.

My amano shrimp take care of that, and for trouble spots, when you really can't add more flow for whatever reason, nothing works better than a turkey baster.

I was thinking about getting a Koralia or the Power sweep?

Koralia seems kinda big in the tank.
The power sweep nozzle moves side to side to flow over the depth of the tank across all the plants, and a option to add agitation if need.

I have no experience with either..

Which do you think would work best for what I'm wanting it for?
