I have had my snail in a seperate container while I am treating for ich using heat and salt, for about a week and a half. For the the past 2 days he has NOT MOVED AT ALL. Is it dead?

I think I've actually thrown out a live one because he hadn't moved in so long! I had one that was definately dead and he definately stunk so I'd give him a sniff ;)

Sniff away, the really smell awful. You may gag lol!!!

UMMM yea that HORRIBLE! And it was dripping black water - BLAH!

And apparently shrimp moult? Cuz I have my ghost shrimp in there also and it has apparently done so. I guess that makes sense, just never thought about it.

as a matter of fact they do molt and just as a side FYI you should leave the exoskeleton in there because they will consume it and benefit from it's calcium - I am a TERRIBLE speller, yes this I know. :)
