Well, I've gone from 20 cherry shrimp about 3 months ago, about a month ago they had ~60-80 babies. Now it looks like I'm gonna have another batch in a couple of weeks. Sheesh! I've decided to offer them here in the classifieds as at this rate my tank will be all red in no time at all.
I have NO idea how to ship them this time of year. I already plan on double bagging with a sprig of java moss or guppy grass, but it's getting really chilly here (20's) and nobody wants frozen shrimp (if you do, go to the grocery store :) ) I'm wondering how you pack with heat packs and where you get them.
Thanks

I got 60 hour heat packs from ebay, they also have them on aquabid.....40 hour packs should work as well. Insulated priority box and heat pack should keep them cozy when sent priority. Beware shipping around the holidays, my priority shipment took 5 days instead of 2 or 3.

  1. Fill a bag with tank water
  2. add moss or some sort of plant
  3. tie the bag with a little air and double bag it
  4. add popcorn to a box
  5. add enough bubblewrap or styrofoam to keep it still while being shipped
  6. add a heat pack
  7. add the shrimp
  8. cover with more popcorn
  9. add the address
  10. pay for shipping
  11. drop it off :D

duh thats only good if your using the breather bags. if your not you want a lot of air in the bag. also dont blow into the bag get something to pump air in.
well, yeah... i just close it real fast
