How do you read your liquid test kit?

look in BRIGHT white light ,also look at the reflection of the card through the liquid (in the test tube) , not the liquid itself

and we all wish there was an electronic meter for everything,,oh well at least we have something over nothing
 
I completely agree with the first post, I had real trouble trying to read the tests following the advice of holding the tube 'against the card' - it then looks a completely different colour, mine looked shocking pink rather than the dusky pink tones on the card - I now hold it about a cm away from the card and the colours match the tones on the card quite well so I guess that is right for my test kit.
