I feel so dumb asking this question... Anyway, I'm breeding my betta fish, so the water is halfway. I cut a piece of airline tubing and hooked it to a air stone and put it inside the filter. Then I got the main airline tubing and hooked it to it and hooked it to a valve, then hooked that to the air pump... Is that right?? After few minutes the bubbles stop coming out of the filter... It's making me so mad! Any ideas?

Why not just put some sponge around the filter intake to keep the fry out?

Lol, thats a good idea.. I already have the filter, I just don't know how to use it :/ lol

What kind of filter do you have?

It sounds like you did it right. But I'm not sure if i'm reading it right or not. (dyslexia) Anyways. ^^ like rbishop said, you could put mesh or a sponge over the intake. But, since youve already bought the sponge filter, itd be best to figure out how to fix it first. I know some people use a powerhead along with it, to help with the filtration, if that's an option

Most sponge filters I am aware of are not meant to be run inside a HOB filter...unless they are talking sponge material for media...

Pics would be cool! :grinno:
