How do you use and mod your Python?

There are so many tricks and mods out there like sticking a thermometer inside to see the temperature while filling. What tricks have you got! Show a picture if you can.

i extended mine by 30 feet by adding another tube. also just toss the thermometer into the tube. its the digital one where i suction cup it to the tube.

None. No tricks..just use it as is.

drain the tank, wrap up python and put away.
Flip the valve under my sink to refill the tank with 22C water everytime.

I modified the stock spray bar from my Eheim Canister filter so it can be used as a Python attachment. Works great for filling my big tank. Keeps my hands free for other tasks.

No mods or tricks here, when filling i let the water run over the temp probe...

another thing to do to keep the connection at the tap tight, before you attatch it to the tap, screw the brass adater into the swivel piece tightly, and then turn the swivel piece until it starts spinning on its own ("breaks away" from the brass piece) this will ensure that the venturi is screwd on tight before each use.

I lack the allen wrench large enough to tighten this adapter, so this is what I do.

i let the gravel vac fill completely with water, and the added weight of it holds it in the tank so i can sit and monitor temp and my fish.

I cut off my gravel vac and turned it into a CO2 reactor, LOL.
