How does 2300-2500 sound?

How does about $400 CAD for 2 400 watt MH's and a 120 watt T8 fixture sound?

Are these for your 100 gal??? That is a lot of light, are you planning to go SPS???
 
Yeah for 100 gallon. I personally don't really like the looks of SPS, so I'm just getting LPS and softies. Is it too much light? Also do you think 10000k with actinics is better or 14000k with actinics?
 
Well if it is a standard 100 it will need 3 halides as each one will only cover 2 feet of tank, I would go with maybe 250's as that will be enough light.
 
I'm making it so it'll be 48" long x 25" wide x 20" tall.
 
Then two will be fine. And so will 250's
 
Wouldn't 2 400 watts be better or is it too much light?So 2 250 watts actually be better even though it's less light?
