how far along in the cycle

I just bought the api liquid test kit and my ammonia is .10 and nitrite is .25 the ammonia is declining and nitrite is going up slightly and holding ant .25

Before my cycle completed my nitrite shot up to 2 for 4 days. I was doing 30% water changes daily.

how long have you been cycling? do you have nitrates yet?

is this fish or fishless cycle? with out knowing the nitrates its hard to know where your at in the cycle. you already have the first step with nitrites popping up.

Im going on 2 1/2 weeks now on a fishey cycle. My amonia is at 0 and nitrites are at about 1

well i would water change until the nitrites are down to .25ppm. what are your nitrates?

my nitrates are about .05 or .25 i only have the dip strips for the nitrate. I did a water change last night about 25% or more. Should i do another?

well my nitrite is down .25 now i tried to let them spike. so things are looking good
