how far would you drive for a quality pet shop?

im not talking petco,petsmart, pet supplies plus, etc.

im asking this for a reason. see im considering opening a petshop. i relize mom and pop businesses fail. i relize i live in a small town. but i also see within a 20 mile radius we have 3 lfs, all are very poor quality in all aspects. within this 20 miles theres approx. 90,000 people, but only 6,000 in the town im thinking about. and theres a million other conserns, point is i need to know how far the adverage fish enthusiast would travel.

I drive 15 miles as it is for any pet store, lol. What's another 5 miles for a decent one. I drive 1.5 hours to visit Erik Dyke when I need to pickup fish too. I want quality!

I routinely drive 40 miles plus for Good shops. Nothings close to me but th ebig box stores.

I drive about 30 miles just to get to pets mart. lol if i wanted something really nice, i will drive farther.

i would have to drive 220 miles if i wanted to go myself, most times i find a lift for what i need. Namibia is a wide spread out area.

local shops can order things i need but then it costs nearly double.

The fish store I go to is about 29 miles from my house. I go there once every two weeks even if I don't have a lot of money to spend. I want them to know I am a good customer, they give me a discount :dance:

I live in the country and it's a ride to everywhere, but for the fish that I would buy for my tanks, I'd go as far as to where I could drive there and back in a day if I had too. No idea how many miles that would be, but it would be a lot of driving:crazy:.
