Just curious if anyone has info on the grow rate of captive native fish?
I am wondering mostly about sunfish but any other infor would be appreciated.

You can expect pretty much any sunfish to grow with the same rate as your average cichlid. That is pretty fast.....Maybe about an inch a month or so. I have a LMB, bowfin, redfin pickerel, and a bunch of sunfish and they all have grown very fast so far. The LMB has about tripled in size from about July maybe June. The bowfin has went from 1" to about 5" since July. The pickerel I just got yesterday....The sunfish (gills and greens) have grown on average about 3" since may in an outdoor pond. HTH
