I was wondering how C02 is collected? (for things like fire extinguishers, aquariums, etc)

Can it be taken directly from the air and "bottled"?

I'd assume it's by a large scale chemical reaction. Almost any metallic carbonate and acid will react to form CO2 and other chemicals. The CO2 wiki has a pretty good section on it.

I think I remember hearing it is produced in large scale by the combustion of methane, then seperated by fractional distillation.

they get a heap of people to breath into bags and they bottle it.....hehe couldn't resist

Then please explain how CPR works?

Seriously your exhaled breath is not pure CO2.

I think the "hehe couldn't resist" part meant he was joking. It was a joke. You laugh at it.:dance2:
