How large are oscars when they can spawn?

I have two 5 inch oscars, of course i have no clue if they
are male or female , but they have been inseperable since
i have had them . Recently one will chase the other and
the "chased" will arch its back. I was wondering if this was
a sign of aggression between two males or normal oscar
behavior or perhaps a sign that they could be trying to mate?

any oscar people out there , i would appreciate any feedback.
