How long are fish flakes good for?

In general, how long are flakes good for after the seal is broken?

i know i've seen someone post on this before, but i can't recall the right answer. i would imagine part of it depends on how well it's stored. if it's airtight it should last longer.........

they say you should dispose of all your opened fish food after 3 months, tahts why i never get the huge cans of pellets or flakes
