how long can fish or shrimp live in shipping bag

Ahhh... good... little worried when I read that that you might have some digested shrimp before too long! ;)

I think you'll be fine... just need to stay on top of water changes till cycling completes- shrimp- especially CRS are sensitive to nitrites and nitrates.

I just received a shipment of crystal red shrimp and some angelfish. The problem is I am at school and the 4 gallon tank I have right now is going through cycling. Ammonia readings are at zero but nitrite reading are at 1.0 ppm. I won't be going home until thursday morning. Is it better to leave them in the bag or put them in the tank until I can take them home to my bigger tank?

How are you going to keep angelfish in a 4 gallon tank???
I think you mean 40 gallons, right??? Cuz that makes much more sense.:)
