I made 40gal of saltwater about a week ago. Is it still good? I won't be able to use it until this weekend which will make it about a week and a half. I have it heated and circulating with a good size pump.

How long can I keep new salt water?

It should be fine, just make sure that you run a powerhead and a heater for 24 - 48 hours before you plan to use.
I personally keep a rubbermaid full of saltwater for my water changes, and for the most part, it is just left standing for when i need it. I always run powerhead and heater for 48 hours and run water checks and check pH before it enters the tank..

esssentially, the only problem with storing salt water is evaporation and subsequent elevation of the specific gravity due to concentration of the salt. if you make up your water to a 'range' of specific gravity you should be fine. if on the other hand you make it to a pretty narrow specific gravity range, you may find you need to add some water to your stored water.
