12 hrs. I have the one with pins too, but its Nothing compared to Another one I have. I set it to turn on (or off) at 8 and everyday it shuts off 10 minutes later and on 10 minutes later. by the end of the week its shutting of the lights at 10! So I have to reprogram it every week
