I've been told it doesn't last very long.. a month or so.
But also, the plant gives off those shoots.. How long do these last before they die off?
My last try with Anacharis wasn't exactly spectacular, but my tank wasn't great either. Some of the lower pieces turned yellow or brown and melted off.
Natural or no?

Anacharis should lat until you prune it. Its not what youd say a "disposable" plant. Maybe you don't have enough light, or not enough ferts for it..?

lol the goal of having any plant in your tank is for it to grow!

FWIW it always worked better for me free-floating, vs weighted down or planted...I can't say how LONG it will last...I had it in with goldfish <munch munch munch>:goldfish: Should last pretty much forever tho!

Ive never had luck with anacharis..nor hornwort. They are suppose to be two of the easiest plants to keep..lol

Haha, well, my previous tank probably had a deficiency. The new 40 gal of mine will have more lighting and stuff. Thanks for the help!
