true driftwood??it's true driftwood, probably oak, boiled for 2 hours then run through two dishwasher cycles with heater dry.
all that means pretty much, is wood that was exposed/drifted in water.
the easiest way to see what wood you have is a cross section of the wood.
unless you can see the 'graining' of the wood.
even they you'd need to pretty much have someone experience to ID the species.
but in a nutshell it is correct.. it will depend on the wood how fast it becomes water logged.
