How long for java moss to attach to wood

just put some java moss on my new piece of driftwood.

i have it wedged in crevices in the wood right now (with the exception of once piece that is tied down and one that is held with gravel) and its all pretty secure.

just wondering how long i should expect it to take to attach itself onto the wood and start spreading?

WOW! can i ask where you got that driftwood? or is it loads of smaller ones? as i cannot fins anything bigger than my arm lol. thanks. :)

i can never get my java moss to attach to anything. sure it grows on the object but never attaches very well. ide say you are better off with another type of moss, i think maybe flame moss is a good one.

I tried attaching Xmas moss to a piece of driftwood, but it didn't really attach that well. It attached to the gravel really well, though. When I let it float around, it would pick up gravel here and there and anchor itself down.
