Stupid mistakes?

Anyone make stupid mistakes over the time of fish keeping?

I once put a clownknife fish in my 20 gallon in with small cherry barbs, tetras and angels. But only 5 fish went missing over the one year period I had him. Then I had those same angel (bigger) eating my small fish. By the way who names a fish 'Angel fish' when they are nasty natured towards smaller counterparts.

I've been taking care of them the right way since I joined AC. Before that I was keeping 5 female bettas in a 1g bowl, :barf:, for a few months.

Also way back when I was 4, and there was a pretty big LFS in town, I had a pleco, 3 guppies, 2 cardinals, 1 albino cory, 1 kuhli loach, 1 normal cray, a fiddler crab & a red clawed crab in a 10g . This can be counted in the stupid mistakes section, although I was only 4 and it was a "I want that one!" situation. It's sad, considering my mother was making the purchases, and she was (and still is) a very good vet. Just didn't know about things with fins.

I've been interested and had fish throughout my life but have only done it properly for 6 years.

And yes, I've made many mistakes. Every new fish is a learning experience and I've learned alot the hard way.

On and off for about the last 12 years, the year is when started to become more of an obcession and really started researching and learning about everything I'm doing.

I got my first 10 gallon aquarium when I was 7 and I'm 27 now so that makes 20 years! :D
