Orion, I'm confused. I did a search on velvet and found this response from you last fall:
"I would leave the tank empty, and run it at an elevated temperature--this will decrease the time it takes for the parasite to run it's course, and a temp above 85 may even help kill it off. Treating marine velvet is different than treating ich--velvet can generate dormant spores, while ich has not been shown to include a dormant spore stage. So, the time and heat treatment will work against ich, but possibly not against velvet."
Which answer is right?
