How long should it take driftwood to sink?

You could also try what Mr Bishop did and drill a large hole in the bottom, fill with marbles and then plug it to help it sink.

That's a beautiful piece of driftwood kimmisc. I'm sure it will be worth it once it sinks.

I got my little 6 inch piece online. It's been 3 months and it floats alllll dayy.

With a piece that little maybe you could anchor it down somehow.. maybe lean a rock or decor against it or tie it to something.

People do seem to like my piece of DW but I didn't like it much. The bottom is sawed off, so it has to be hidden in the substrate limiting options for ways to sit it. It's not really what I had in mind when I ordered DW. It is havoc on my pH too.... when it came to trying to keep it up for snails.
