Which is what I figured it would take to cycle by the very most a month. The filter media I am using has been in my 36g filter compartment for months so it is more than well seeded will just see how it goes.
On the contrary, I've had a tank cycle near instantly when I added establish filter media, established sand, plants and rocks from my older tanks. Whenever I start off a new tank, I use filter media and sand, and it cycles in under a week.

I dare say it's a fragile cycle in that amount of time. And my guess is that you continue to monitor water quality on a tank you've seeded more carefully then you do with your well established tanks until the tanks are a few weeks old. If you don't - you're not as bright as I thought you were.
Even seeding, it can take about two weeks+ for the bacteria to really settle in. Even seeding it, you should continue to test the water for a few weeks to make sure you don't have any spikes ...
3-4 days to cycle - it's misleading in any scenerio.
