how long would it take a 125gal to show signs of leaking due to not being perfectly level. I know noone has a percise time frame but would it be the day you fill it up or longer. Just not perfectly level so I am a little concerned. Any Ideas :help:

Is the tank well supported by a soft mat R polerstyrine tiles R summat?????

if so i`d guess your tank will be fine!!! but then again it depends on how un level the tank really is.........

if i was you i`d empty the tank now and sort the problem b4 there is a problem cos all you need is a fully stocked tank and then having leak problems R even worse a tank break due to a problem easy sorted at first.

good luck with it...

I just got back into town and measured all four corners and one corner was off that 1/4" so I had them deliver a replacement stand and also they replace the tank so there will be no worries.
Now instead of sitting the stand on carpet I am going cut out the carpet underneath and let the stand sit on the foundation.

It usually goes stand, then styrofoam, then tank. I'm doubtfull the flooring will have a significant affect on the tank, as long as it's level.

See my stand is made by perfecto manufacturing (oak standw/the four cabinet doors) and the top is not one full piece It has support on all corners and in the center. So would I still go stand, then styrofoam, then tank. Will that work with the type of stand i have.

nice tank set up DeRo316 I decided to move my african cichlids to my 125 that I am in the process of setting up because I bought two frontosa and right now they are 2" and I have them with electric blue, sunshine peacock, o/b morph peacock and a couple more and they all get along great i was wondering at first with the frontosa being an Tanganyikan with the malawi but they all get along in the 55 cant wait to get the 125 going

If it's glass then it should be suported on all bottom edges. acrylic should have the whole base suported. The styrofoam is only to take care of any bumps or uneveness in the stand itself, not unlevelness of the floor.
