How loud is the Rena XP2?

I have 3 Eheims (2217, 2 x 2236) and love them. However, I'm considering a Rena XP2 for a 20L because (1) due to its aquascaping Eheim's green pipes would be an eyesore (I'm not going to spend more $$ to buy Eheim installation kits to avoid "green.") and (2) I can have a very good deal.

I'm spoiled by the silence of my Eheims and AC50. So, the only concern is the XP2's noise. I know that the XP3 is noisier than Eheims. How about the XP2?

I don't hear mine. I just hear the small vibration it makes. The XP2 (and XPs for that matter) have a soft cushion under them so it decrease the noise. I actually hear more from my betta tank than my 38G.

i have an xp2 and what i do is fold a towel under it in the tank stand to lessen vibration and noise. when i had it sitting on lino over concrete floor i didn't hear a thing.

get the xp2, i highly reccomend it.

C-160, it has 3 trays and is cheaper, would work well on a 20L

I have an XP3 on my 75g and I can't hear it at all. It's still pretty new to me, but I am liking it a lot. It sure is easier to clean than my Eheims are.
