I set up my 20 long and I have 1 lonely bolivian in there right now. I was thinking about adding some more and maybe some tetras. What do you think? Should I leave it a species tank or should I add the tetras and how many bolivians do you think? I was thinking 2-3 more....

You could do a trio, if ur interested in breeding, but if not breeding, i would get 3-4 females, and maybe 6-10 harlequin rasboras, and be done;)

no other tank mates except top dwellers if ur planning on breeding;)

I wasn't planning on bottom dwellers but I do have von Rio tetras, scissortail tail rasboras or hatchets that I could throw in there, I'm just undecided on which ones or if I should just leave the bolivians in there by themselves. Suggestions?

I added 2 more bolivians today, I'm pretty sure ones a female. If a pair forms I have other tanks I can move the third one to.

i wouldnt even worry about dithers in a 20 long, seems to small for a pair plus dithers, looking at my 20 long i would basically either have a pair of dwarfs or a small community or a single dwarf plus commenuity. but not a pair plus dithers ( meaning other fish to distract the rams agreesion from one another )
