How many Discus to add to the tank at a time?

You probably should get 5 to 6 discus all at once and just put them into the 55 gallon aquarium.

+1 Completely agree as long as they are all from the same source. You will have less issues and hassle in the long run doing it this way.

Merlot, where are you located? I have been to Hans' place several times. He is one of the best sources in North America when it comes to high quality discus. Good luck!

I live in Arlington so about an hour and a half away from Hans. I am not sure I feel comfortable buying fish online so I would rather go in person to the store. Also, because I am new to Discus, I would rather speak to someone directly and see the fish rather than buying online. Any feedback is appreciated as to purchasing online or places to go!
