How many Discus

any ideas for the lighting based on my last post???

Also a new thought, if i put say 20 Discus in the 540 and planted added my clown loaches (5) plus say 3 or 4 more. What should i add as scooling fish??? Some type of tetras, or add to my silver dollars school and put them in there????

Silver dollars with discus? Silver dollars in a planted tank?:22_yikes: Silver dollars do not mix well with discus. They are far too boisterous for the discus. You have a choice of picking rummy-nose tetras, cardinal tetras and black neon tetras for school groups.

Please add vegetable matter on your loaches' diet or they will turn your plants into a salad bar.:grinyes: :dance2:

yeah sorry about the silver dollar idea, i was just talking about how they loved to eat all the plants i used to have in my 10 gallon when they were smaller, lol i don't know what i was thinking.

Anyways lights for this tank???? It's roughly 7 feet by 3.5 feet by 3 feet tall
