How many is to many... One if you ask my wife ;) Even though she finds it relaxing to watch...
Jericho I find not asking is the best approach! :D

It's like every other hobby -

everyone has their personal limits. Do I "need" to have 3 snowboards? No, but why not? Do I need more tanks - certainly not, but I'd still like to put a larger one in the basement. My SO will be out of town for a while, so I guess I could sneak one in. Hmmm, 125G sounds nice... :D

In the end, NakatuTseng has is absolutely right: as long as you can keep your fish healthy and happy, there's nothing to worry about.

Ahhh yes I agree it is better to beg for forgiveness then ask for permission ;)

LOL! I'm with ashdavid. There is no need for discusion, as I had a dozen tanks when we got married decades ago. I say nothing about shoes, clothes, or musical instruments. She returns the favor on books, kites, and fishtanks.

I live with my parents and currently have two 29 gallons and two 2gal. bowls. If I could I would have more but I'm limited to my parents rules! I wish I could 65 like you Mike but how do you keep up with it? I would love to have species and community tanks but for now am limited to communitys. You guys are way lucky! Congrats!

my mom veiws the tanks we have as enough, unless I were to get a tank larger than a 55 and move my cihlids intoit then take my community fish out of her tank and put them in the 55. How I see is the amount of plug ins. when you run out buy a larg tank, find all the different tanks you have that rquire simalar water, yet the fish can not be together, set up the larger tank put a few dividers in and tak upless plugs. I thought A livebearer bredery 55 would be good. A section for males, a section for females, a planted section for the spawning trio, and a grow out area.

I vary, but usually between 58-65 tanks at home...plus I get to play around with the 600 down at the shop.
