How many is too many?

A dozen would be fine for a 125, it would be interesting watching a decent size group interact.

Yeah, I know. I just didn't want to get them and it be too many for the tank. I have never had loaches except hillstreams and as far as true loachyness I don't think they count.

I would definately think you should be fine. So what are the plans for the tank? Id love to see pics if you do get them, a whole community of the same loach species would look amaing.

Good luck!

I can't put kuhlis or corys in there because of the other fish that are in there. I have 2 Sevs 4" & 5", 1 Robertsoni 3 1/2", 1 Nicaraganese 3 1/2", 1 Polleni 2 1/2", 1 Marbled Convict 2", 1 African Knife 5", and 1 Chocolate Pleco 9". I wanted something different than clown loaches so I decided on yoyo loaches. I had asked Lupin and 8 would be a good start, but for $1.25 ea, I thought if it wasn't too crowded I would get the 12. It will cost me more to buy 8 than the 12.

I do have 14 green and albino aeneus cories in my 110. They are a very busy group!
