Chances are they will harass the discus. If they want their fry to roam around in search for foods in the later stages, they'll have to defend their fry.

Haha... this is very true. They're very interesting fish... I'm very tempted to add one when I sell 2 of my discus... but I'm not sure if I actually will or not. I've got too many plans for my tank as it is. I hate having multiple tank syndrome but only being able to keep one tank :silly:

I might try to take back 2 of the 7 tomorrow... 5 of them are magnificent eaters, are very active and seem to get along well. Two of them, however, do not seem to be doing as well as the others... are often chased off at feeding time, and are much more timid. I know they will naturally establish a picking order, but since I was planning to remove 2 later down the road, perhaps I should do so sooner than later? This would open up room to get some cardinals (if I ever find some! argh!! :mad2 and potentially a single kribensis. I'd love to get a male and female and watch them spawn in the tank, but I'm not sure they'd spawn, as I have no caves, just plants and driftwood... and if they did spawn, I wouldn't want them harassing my discus.
