How many mulities?

With that great KH for Tangs, I suppose your water's GH is well over 200ppm; also very good for them. So, even when the pH of 7.6 is not the perfect one, I think you don't need the Eco-complete sand as jpappy said. Pool filter or play sand should be OK.

cool then, so the PH would be ok but is i wanted to raise it what would be the best way? also i have another question what about seachem cichlid lake salt is this something i need to add?

Thanks again for all the help you guys have given me im new to cichlids and can use the help

If you want to rise the pH you can put a mesh bag with crushed coral, inside the filter or use it as substrate if the crushed coral has fine grains without sharp edges. Then a more expensive alternative can be the Eco-complete cichlid sand or a medium to large piece of Texas Holey Rock. With these options, forget about the use of cichlid salts; this should be the last possible option to rise the pH.

Use the quality sands add a few THR with our water yeah i know we are not on the same system but man KY water is high enough for Africans and all should be fine as long as you do your weekly water changes..

Caribsea is a good choice in sands as well..

well guys i got one more question im planning on using a eheim 2213 for filtration will this create enough flow for these fish or do i need to add a powerhead or 2?

On my smaller tanks i use power heads with sponges on the intake tubes and i use sponge filters as well i use Maxi-jet 600 and 400 great filtration devices just be careful not to buy the ones rated for a 200gal tank be like a fish Jacuzzi..
