How many of each should I get for my 20 gallon?

Here is what I'm thinking of getting for my 20 gallon:

Neon Tetra
Guppies
Platies
Rainbow fish
Danios

How many of each can I get in my tank?

I am thinking 6 Neon Tetra, 6 Danios, 2 Female guppies, 2 female mollies, 2 female platies. Will these all fit in 20 gallon and be peaceful?

Tank size is approximately 25.75 x 14.25 x 18.62 Inches

They should get along ok except that the Zebra? Danios will be a bit disruptive with their frenetic swimming. I think Danios are better in a 30 inch long tank.

I think mollies get too big for your tank & as usedtobe said, danios are too hyper. I would only keep male livebearers, females will come "pregnant" (gravid) & female guppies aren't even pretty to me.

With platys you can choose different colors (they're all the same species), but again get males or your tank can become overcrowded fast. It sounds fun to have fry but gets old quickly or depressing when some fry are eaten.

Will you eventually want any bottom fish like cory cats?

Yeah, male guppies are prettier than females and there is zero chance you will buy a pregnant one.
