I was wondering...

I know how passionate some of us are in here so it occured to me the other night while I was having a wonderful lobster/shrimp dinner that some people in here might be haters of those who eat seafood. What do you guys think of seafood? Does it sometimes make you cringe when you're about to chew on a piece of flounder? Do any of you curse those who go to Red Lobster? Or are you like me?... your mouth waters every time the thought of a Tuna steak enters your mind.

I'm allergic to seafood, so it works out pretty well...my fish have nothing to fear :)

It's my favorite food! Shrimp, lobsters and crabs are as safe around me as they would be a puffer...

I know what you mean. I had one of those moments a couple of weeks back and I thought about posting it, but decided not to.

I was leaning back in my comfy chair watching my main tank, while chomping down on a BK fish burger and I started thinking that this is a bit surreal.

Why? They eat their own kids...

Hey, my seafood (betta & endlers) eat seafood, so why shouldn't I? In fact, sometimes me & my fish share some garlic shrimp. They don't hold it against me, in fact they even look pretty excited when the dead fishies come their way!

I love shrimp and fish, but I try to stick to farm-raised. As a lifelong angler, I've seen the the damage commercial fishing does to both fish stocks and habitat, as well as the callous attitude of entitlement many commercial fishermen seem to have.

I love seafood (especially sushi!), but I can't really eat in-the-shell lobster and crab. It's not that I don't like the taste, but I can't stand the cracking sounds the shells make when people tuck into the poor things. It just makes my skin crawl. Blech! So anytime I want to have crab or lobster, I have to get someone to break it all up for me while I wait in another room. >_<
