how many of you eat seafood?

never really liked how seafood tastes, or the idea of eating all the polution that goes into it. however, I give my fish table shrimp and brine shrimp every now and then(actually the marine fish get brine shrimp daily), and my cleaner shrimp likes to eat fish that have passed on($5 on a blue green chromis to feed my shrimp?), so I don't have anything against seafood eaters.

I enjoy both fresh and salt water fish.........walleye,pertch,bass......
Lobster, shrimp, octapus, king crab, squid NO Sushi for me!

This is weird because I went to the grocerey store today. . . I have always loved all kinds of fish all kinds of ways, callabash to sushi to raw oysters. But now that I'm keeping fish. . . . they had some 10" whole Tilapia frozen in bags, and all I could think of was my fishies . . . strange feeling, never had it before . . . . then the fillets just creeped me out. Are my piscine-porking days over? Who knows. . . . :thud:

I am for the most part a vegetarian. Not as strict as I maybe should be though. I can't live without tuna, especially a Tuna Sub from Subway. The only meat I eat is seafood and chicken (rarely). Never anyting that was ever fuzzy or furry when it was alive.

I also had a bit of a guilt trip with a BK Fish the other day. I've decided to not eat anymore seafood in front of the fishies anymore. LOL Gonna be kinda hard considering the tank is in the dining room.

I'm also an avid fisherwoman, mostly catch and release. Can't stand the taste of freshwater fish. ick.

YUCK!! It looks like bait to me. I have no idea how people eat something that looks like a crawdad or an insect. Tuna and fish sticks are all I can handle (is tuna a fish or chicken?? just kidding.

I love shrimp and fish, but I try to stick to farm-raised. As a lifelong angler, I've seen the the damage commercial fishing does to both fish stocks and habitat, as well as the callous attitude of entitlement many commercial fishermen seem to have.

Just had to interject here for an exception to the farm-raised debate...do a google search on "farm-raised salmon" and "Echo Bay"...never, ever, ever support farm-raised salmon, especially that coming out of Alaska. The farms there are destroying the environment and local populations of native salmon and other fishes. In addition to that, they dye the steaks a lovely pink color to make them more appealing by feeding the salmon a particular chemical, which, if fed long term will kill the fish...I can only imagine what it will do to the people eating it!

I love seafood and also many freshwater gamefish.

I do not eat farm raised..but prefer fresh caught.

Fresh shrimp, crabs(Dungeouness) salmon and steelhead, along with trout bass perch, sunfish etc.
being Asian, I was raised around Sushi (maguro my fav).

I live in the PNW(Pacific North West)

I hear the debate about commercial fishing..and in some areas..wish they would not do it(Puget Sound is one area)..but the local commercial fisherman are only part of the problem..I can get pretty worked up over some of stuff that is actually happening.
but that is another thread :)
