How many people does it take to carry 90 & 100g tankss?

I was just wondering because in the future I plan on having a 90 and 100g (which weigh 160 lbs and 182 lbs, I think) and I was wondering whether 2-3 people would be capable of carrying them? Its hard to tell with tanks because they're bulky so they seem even heavier than they actually are so I have no idea.

I would say 4 people minimum unless you have some really strong helpers. With 3 people carrying a 100 gallon tank, each person is carrying 60 pounds. This is assuming the load is evenly balanced, which it won't be. It is possible that one helper might collapse under the uneven weight when going up a small step or lifting the tank up.

Ok, thanks. Me, my parents, and my brother could carry them then but my brother and I aren't very strong so I'm not sure how well that would work.. probably the hardest thing would be getting them in and out of our van. I'd be so scared of breaking them.

3 people should be plenty...even 2 grown men can do it...it wont be that heavy...but what was heavy is when me, my dad and 2 buddys of mine had to lift my 240 gallon and walk it into the house and let me tell you...the hardest part was getting a 2 foot wide aquarium that felt like it weighed a ton through a doorway...not to mention we had to lift it high enough to set it on the stand...with only 4 people we manage to pull it off

For extra security, I'd go with 4 people, though it could be done with 2 strong people. When you put that much money/effort into getting nice tanks like that, I personnaly would not risk it. Think of it as 2 people to actually lift it and another 2 to help keep it from bumping into things or to take over if it gets too heavy for the 2 "main" carriers.
