How many people have pet names for their fish

I named my Green Terror Killer, although maybe I should change it to bruiser or something, he hasnt killed anything yet but he sure is an instigator.

I have only named 2 of my fish. I like to wait until a name jumps out at me, and so far that's only happened twice. Out of my 4 Buenos Aires Tetras, I've named the smallest one Jose and the only female is "Mama fish". My daughter has asked to help name the rest (which also includes 3 rasboras and 3 otos), but she hasn't come up with anything she likes enough.

One of my co-workers not only named his fish, he actually had a fish naming party that involved quite a few drinks...Not sure how he remembers all the names, as some were very creative and long. The only one I can recall is Ilene--a cichlid with one eye missing. The fish compensates be canting to the left while swimming, hence, I-lean...Sigh.

W'e named a few of the saltwater fish, but I don't think I've named any FW fish. For the SW: Old Blue--blue damsel, now about 5 year old. Medici: Scooter blenny, PJ: mandarin goby. Pablo: Picasso Trigger. Leo: Lion Fish. The octopusses were Loki and Leera. We also have one hermit crab in the reef who has been dubbed Ol' Yeller ever since he moved into a yellow FW snail shell.

I only name the ones that deserve it. Mad Dog is a betta living in a community tank, Cruiser is a red-tailed shark and Spike, a 3 year old Algae eater to name a few. I have roughly two hundred fish, and another hundred or so fry at any given time so I try not to name them all, just the rowdiest or ill-behaved ones. Oh, and I can't forget Oedipus and Jocasta the Gold Angel pair (who are aptly named for their breeding behavior)

Heckle & Jeckyl - Bala Sharks

Rosey, Minty & Frank - Painted Tetras
Thing 1 and Thing 2 - Bronze cories

Doc - The Last of the Dainos

Hey, new here.
I've an 8" irrie my husband named Noah, he's built like an ark. Could probably house most of my fish too if he wanted to.:D I had been speaking of him looking more like a whale than a catfish. He still has his beautiful colors with his large gently swishing tail that my clown loach likes to get behind so it can get knocked aroung and play in the currents the irrie creates. It's funny. Maybe I should call the clown Jonah, you know, Jonah & the "whale"! The irrie even has a spot on top of his head, his soft spot, that's a pale color & is where a blow hole would be. Noah is hand fed by the way & likes to suck my thumb. :)

I had a Neon named sushi for quite some time when I was younger. He was "the neon that refused to give up" despite a pretty nasty attack of fungus early on. He got over it, but had a bit of a "limp" from then on.

My Rosy Barb is named Pepe'. Don't ask.

Haven't named any of the others. Dunno why.

Paddington and Podmeister the Peruvian Puffers :)

ok so they're SA puffers but peruvian sounds better.

Oh, and (prize for the most unoriginal name anyone?) Al, the albino cory.

And (Cory) Feldman.

Sad isn't it.
