Eek. So I have a package of 6 pomacea bridgessi (mystery snails,) 2 asolene spixi, and 22 ramshorns on the way. Ahhh, I couldn't help myself... $20.00 for all that!
I would like to keep them all in one tank but my 5 gallon is too small. My 10 on the other hand is what I'd LIKE to keep them in as I was going to make it an all-snail tank (hey, I didn't know I'd be able to buy 30 snails for $20...) I know I can't do that now so some snails will have to go in my 29.
How many and which snails can fit in my 10? I currently have somewhere around 5 baby mysteries, 1 ramshorn and an endless supply of malaysian trumpets. Would it be O.K. to add all the spixi, maybe 2-3 mysteries and 10 ramshorns? Also, what is the best way to vacuum the gravel? (I don't want to kill the tiny MTS babies but I know there shouldn't be so many. I also don't want to accidentally crush a snail.)
