How many snails is too many snails?

It's Cory Lover's cat!
Eek. So I have a package of 6 pomacea bridgessi (mystery snails,) 2 asolene spixi, and 22 ramshorns on the way. Ahhh, I couldn't help myself... $20.00 for all that!

I would like to keep them all in one tank but my 5 gallon is too small. My 10 on the other hand is what I'd LIKE to keep them in as I was going to make it an all-snail tank (hey, I didn't know I'd be able to buy 30 snails for $20...) I know I can't do that now so some snails will have to go in my 29.

How many and which snails can fit in my 10? I currently have somewhere around 5 baby mysteries, 1 ramshorn and an endless supply of malaysian trumpets. Would it be O.K. to add all the spixi, maybe 2-3 mysteries and 10 ramshorns? Also, what is the best way to vacuum the gravel? (I don't want to kill the tiny MTS babies but I know there shouldn't be so many. I also don't want to accidentally crush a snail.)

I have about 20 rams in a jar on my desk(prolly less than 1 gallon). Every 3 days I do a water change with "seasoned" water syphoned off other tanks. I started with 5 rams, seems like not that long ago. I drop some ground up shrimp pellet in there(Not much just alittle) every day. In my 55 g I have maybe 12 rams, because the loach I have keeps eating them. (thats why I started the jar).

Well I have eggs in the jar also(so I assume its not over populated)...I would worry about how many you will have after they start reproducing in there. Supposedly they will only keep laying eggs as long as there is enough food for more snails.

Maybe the apples will eat the ram eggs tho I dunno.

My 300+ is too many :D

Not sure what stocking for rams is, but you shouldn't have more than 5 adult apples in a 10g unless you do lots of WCs..and spixis, well they stay pretty small, as long as your params are good, I guess you're fine.

apples will need about 3 gallons per snail to be happy. you can reduce that necessity with more water changes. but you HAVE to keep up with the water changes if you're going to overstock it.
i would definitely not put the rams in with the apples. they will reproduce so much and devour all the food before your brigs can get to it.
the spixies will be fine in with the apples. they'll want about 1/2 - 1 gallon per.
