jodimarten, what are you sighing about? A filtered 2.9 gallon is good for one goldfish
SIGH.... :( I don't understand how one can justify keeping a 8-16" long (adult size) fish in a 3G tank. would you keep an oscar in a 3G? no? then don't keep a goldfish in there.

anyway, I also have a 10G that is occupied by a fire bellied toad.

I have 4 tanks with fish and one with a leopard gecko.

55G--12 rummynose tetras, 6 hatchet fish, 7 kuhli loaches, 3 cories, 1 dwarf gourami, and 2 BN pl*ecos. Planted.
20L--1 firebelly toad, 3 white clouds, and snails. planted.
5.5G--1 betta (Oscar) and his pet ramshorn. planted.
2.5G--1 bettta (Mr. Lucky). planted
20L--1 leopard gecko.

5betta- The minimum tank size for a fancy goldfish, and mind you , these are the smallest goldfish you can get, is 30G. And that is for just 1! For any other goldfish, such as a comet or koi, they shouldn't even be kept in an aquarium, nothing smaller than pond size will be able to properly house them at full size. Anyway, sorry to go off topic.

As the sig says, 62 personal tanks ranging from 3-275 gallons each (and no, I am not listing all the fish), and another 650 tanks to play with down at the shop.

Wow! Most of ya'll have a lot of tanks!

I have:
10 gallon: 2 mollies and 2 cory catfish (soon to be four)
20 gallon: cycling (soon to be home to mollies and probably cories)

read my sig

It seems most fishkeepers end up having a tank in any space that will fit it! I've only been doing this for 6 months, and I just got my third tank (see sig). Already have my eye on a fourth - for an african cichlid tank!

p.s. - I also have a couple 10 gallon tanks I roll out for fry or hospital uses.
