So I got a 38g tank for my current tiger barbs--they are kind of sick right now, but in a month I hope they will be better and able to move into the new tank. So I wanted to get some new barbs now to qt them so I can add them in the new tank when I put the old barbs in--thus decreasing the potential agression from established fish.
Thus I want to know how many barbs would be good for a 38g tank--the dimensions are 3 feet long, one foot wide, and 19in tall.
Currently I have seven barbs, and I was thinking adding maybe 6-7 more? Would 14 tigers be too much for a 38g tank? I want to spread out the agression, and I think more space will help--but so would more mates.
