well i dont have the oscar w/ them anymore, it was just a temparary tank set up. and i do agree it was probubly because of the diff speices conflict (food size and other factors)
im not saying i hate mbuna and they are killing machines im just saying they are fiesty. But there are some exceptions to that agression, like a rusty cichlid. Those guys are almost as passive to go in a community tank (not that i would try) and zebras are a little less agressive than that of an auratus or johanni
