No I don't find daily water changes stressful I'm set up for it and nor do my discus. Discus require extremely clean water and will not grow to their full potential without this type of commitment. Having said that I have discus that are 7 years old and have never had to be treated for any disease. I put that down to good water condition that is why I do daily water changes. Also if you have 50 fry in a tank to grow out you are more likely to loose your fry especially discus if the water is not as near to perfect as you can make it. I don't want to sound pedantic but clean water equals no disease and very happy fish in my books.
