How much evaporaton must occur.......

By "bigger" I meant 100+ gallon tanks when will evaporate multiple gallons per day. It's usually harder to find the room to house a container to hold enough drip water to sustain this amount because you need to place it above the sump for the gravity drip to work. A float switch system or an RO/DI plumbed directly into the aquarium system are more common options at this size. Alternatively, you can still do a drip system if you're lucky enough to have an all out fish room behind the tank.
 
I often see more people using a container with a float valve than people using RO/DI's or a water line... but whatever gets the job done. Its alot better than manually doing it every day :)
