Yea...but I have an ancient lamp and a plexi glass top. I think I would need to buy a whole new hood..how much would that cost?

Here is an example page of cheap hoods. You can probably find them cheaper elsewhere and possibly used. You should be able to use the CF screww in fixture though. I think the hood could handle it but notsure about the plexiglass cover.
